Welcome To The Legavy & Leadership Conference

What began as a pageant brand has evolved into a national summit redefining what it means to lead, learn, and leave a legacy. The MJUSA Legacy & Leadership Conference completes the narrative of the Emancipation Story—bridging history and modern empowerment to tell The Story of Us with truth and intention.

Rooted in education and cultural pride, this transformative experience prepares a new generation of young women to rise with knowledge, confidence, and purpose. Through cultural workshops, panels, and powerful storytelling, participants explore how history shapes identity and how excellence continues to evolve through them.

This is where Legacy becomes Leadership.
This is the Evolution of Excellence.

Meet the Reigning Miss Juneteenth USA Teen, Bailey Howell

2025-2026

Bailey Howell is the reigning Miss Juneteenth USA Teen, hailing from the "Birthplace of Juneteenth," Texas. A 17-year-old honor student and senior at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, Bailey participates in the school’s visual arts intensive program, serves as chapter secretary in the National Arts Honor Society, and is an Ambassador for the National Society of High School Scholars. She is also a dual-credit student at Tarrant County College.

As a young creative leader, Bailey uses her crown and her platform, CTRL+ART+DELETE, to challenge the systemic erasure of Black art and culture across all mediums. Rooted in truth, identity, and resilience, her mission is to ensure that Black art is documented with authenticity and protected as our cultural footprint. Through her advocacy, workshops, and outreach, Bailey empowers youth to reclaim cultural identity and use creativity as a tool for social change—proving that art is more than expression; it is liberation, connection, and truth.

**BECOME A STATE DIRECTOR

Lead the Legacy. Shape the Story. Ignite the Future.**

This is where the Story of Us is reclaimed — where truth replaces myth, identity meets purpose, and leadership becomes legacy. As a Miss Juneteenth USA State Director, you become a cultural architect, helping youth rediscover pride in who they are and where they come from.

The MJUSA Leadership & Legacy Conference is more than a national platform — it is a movement of remembrance, restoration, and re-education. Through curated workshops, cultural literacy training, and Freedom commemorations, Directors help youth uncover the origins of Black America, often misunderstood or misinterpreted.

As a Director, you stand at the intersection of leadership and purpose —
elevating young voices, uncovering heritage, and building confidence rooted in truth. This isn’t just directorship. This is purpose in motion — where remembrance becomes reign.

If you feel called to empower the next generation, uplift Black culture, and expand the national footprint of Miss Juneteenth USA, we invite you to apply.

Your leadership could change a life.
